Funding options
Understanding how care is paid for
Care funding can feel complex, but there are clear routes available depending on your circumstances. We'll explain all of your options in plain language — and recommend independent financial advice where appropriate.
Self-funding
If you are funding care privately, our fees are discussed clearly and transparently from your first enquiry. There are no hidden charges, and we work with you to understand exactly what is included.
Local authority funding
If you have savings or assets below the current threshold, you may be entitled to support from your local council. We can guide you through the assessment process and what to expect.
NHS Continuing Healthcare
Some residents with complex health needs are eligible for NHS-funded care. This is assessed by the NHS and can cover the full cost of care. We can advise on whether this may apply and how to request an assessment.
Deferred payment agreements
If the value of a property is being taken into account but you are waiting for a sale, a deferred payment agreement allows care fees to be delayed until the property is sold. We can help you understand this route.

Respite care & trial stays
A short-term stay is a wonderful way for a new resident to experience one of our homes before making a longer-term decision. We offer respite stays from two weeks, and we treat every short-term resident with exactly the same warmth and attention as our permanent residents.
