Mistley Manor
Mothers Day
30 March 2020

Piano from Diana, afternoon tea and a pop-up coffee shop — keeping spirits high on a very different Mother's Day.
Amid COVID-19, as I'm sure you are aware, we were unable to allow any family or friends into the care home for Mother's Day. On Sunday 22nd our wonderful Diana came in to play the piano, and during the interval residents enjoyed afternoon tea. We have been keeping spirits up with a variety of activities, such as line dancing, cooking and arts and crafts.
On Friday we opened Arkwright's as a pop-up coffee shop. Twenty-five of our residents came over to enjoy cakes and a drink, and we will be repeating this as frequently as possible.
On Sunday we managed to stream our local church service, then watched Songs of Praise and had a singalong. Please have a look at the images below.
